shadows of mass destruction

So I'm rushing to finish Persona 3 before 4 comes out in the fall. I am such a nerd.

Joe is going to be giving me more hours per week hooray! I'll be making probably about $150 a week (cash money baby). I picked up some games for Brendan (Bible Adventures, Typing of the Dead, and a Dreamcast Keyboard). He was pretty psyched. Joe also made a comment about my singing; he kind of caught me singing along to something on the radio and said I had a good voice. It's been a while since I got a compliment so it was nice. Especially since I haven't been singing as much since the accident. I remember when I was in high school working at Wendy's a customer passing buy (in the Food Court) said I should be on American Idol. Pfft fuck that reality crap. Someday I'll learn guitar well enough to write songs...I would love to be kind of like Gregory and the Hawk. Simple stuff that just hits home and sounds good.

Now for something completely different

Yesterday, Ledd and I went out to get food yesterday. His friend Meredith was supposed to come too but she had some sort of crazy sunburn deal and wasn't up for it :( Too bad, she sounded way cool. We found out that slushies at Friday's are actually more like melted slushie juice with the top third covered in crushed (NOT BLENDED) ice. In other words, the chunks of ice were still too big to fit through the straw. LAME.

Anyway, we ended up seeing Wall-E, which was freaking adorable. It only proves that a truly good movie can work off of minimal dialog. Since I had a brownie at Friday's I ended up almost crying at parts of the movie. Or I could just be a total sap, I cried during Lilo and Stitch.

Speaking of food. I've been eating a lot better lately (more meals cooked at home, less sugar etc). I found that most likely my ridiculously good mood is from cutting more and more sugar out of my diet. Hypoglycemia gives me uncontrollable mood swings when there is too much sugar in my diet (plus the whole thing where I don't want to get diabetes and all).

Although I splurged a little tonight and made brownies. Subsequently, I found that my milk went bad. Goddamnit. My fridge sucks and sometimes doesn't close all the way, so I bet that happened overnight. Grawr it was still halfway full too. I'm trying to save up my money to buy a lamp for the living room (to replace the one that broke a while back) and little setbacks like this drive me nuts. It may not seem like a big deal I guess but this, plus cost of light bulbs plus the cable bill I need to pay etc etc...it all adds up.

But tomorrow night should be super awesome fun with a one Ms. Bonnie "Radical" Radmore. We're going to have a Girly Bakey Stickers Sleepover yay! I haven't hung out with Bon in a while since things have been a little crazy with both of us lately, but girl time is gonna be super sweet.

*sigh* I have to get up early and do laundry tomorrow now that I have quarters. I'm so bad at getting up early. But I have to :( Also because Ledd said he would help me put air in my tires. I wanted him to take a look at my tires and see if we could find if maybe there was a leak or a puncture somewhere, my front wheel is losing air pretty fast.I got new tires this past year too, damn it. Can't afford anything else to go wrong with my poor little Saturn.

Saturday will be a blast, getting trashed with Bonaroo at our hometown haunt with some karaoke. Sure, last time everyone got all pissed that we sang "Date Rape" but screw them, Sublime is awesome. I hope to god they have "Misery Business," I could belt that out all night long.

I like writing about happy times :) I've just been so happy lately.

Women are the stronger sex indeed. Or maybe it's just me that feels strong.

The letter that you wrote me made me stop and wonder why
But I guess you felt like you had to set things right
Just remember this, my friend, when you look up in the sky
You can see the stars and still not see the light (that’s right)

And I’m already gone
And I’m feelin’ strong

wall-e, digital press, happy
