Not dead quite yet!
Goodness. LJ seems to have disappeared for a couple days, there. I saw on the status page that it was a DDoS attack... but seriously! I was finally going to have some time to update my journal and things!
Ah well, it's not like there's much to say, anyway.
A few weeks ago, I went on that surprise trip with some friends. It was completely unplanned... we saw each other around the 4th, and one of my friends and her boyfriend were going to stay in a cabin that belonged to a family member. She invited me and I think two or three other friends, but only one other girl could make it with the short notice. (Which wasn't my friend's fault! She wound up with it on short notice, too.) It was a great few days - hiking, a little drinking (but not getting totally trashed), and just hanging out.
I'm just VERY grateful that I have such awesome coworkers, since otherwise I couldn't have taken that much time off. I guess I still could have gone for a day or two, but would have had to drive myself, and it probably wouldn't have been worth the drive time.
Of course, that means the last couple weeks have been all about paying my coworkers their favors back... so I've been working more than usual. Obviously I don't really mind, but it does get tiring. Oh well, the last week has been a mostly normal schedule for me, and I think it'll stay that way for a while.
I really haven't been doing much else. There's a cute girl that I started kind of flirting with a bit at work. Not anything serious, and I have no reason to think she's anything but straight, but it's fun to have someone to kind of focus on. Most of my other coworkers are friends, but most of them are currently in relationships. :P
