Cloverfield was awesome! Ray and I really enjoyed it. It was so intense and, honestly, spellbinding. There were times I forgot I was watching a movie, I was so in to it. The Blair Witch-style shaky cam gave me a bit of a headache, but added to the ...realism... of the film. I mean, I know a monster movie's not "real" but ... man, I don't know what I mean... can't really explain right now. Oh,
viking_girl_242, you probably won't want to see Cloverfield, there are some creepy spidery looking things. The second they came on screen Ray and I said "Not for
viking_girl_242...
pariah_ink would probably love it, but not for
viking_girl_242"
Lunch before was yummy too. We went to
Mandarin. It's Lunar New Year/ Dumpling Festival, but we didn't have to pay holiday prices, so that was sweet. Didn't totally pig out, but probably ate more than I should have...
After lunch we went to Old Navy. I bought 4 new tank tops and a pair of jeans. Tanks are mediums and the jeans are a size 10! It's amazing how good you look when clothes actually fit!
I probably spent more money than I should have today, but having clothes that fit properly is a good thing.
Oh, and the best part was the surpise I found when I got home: my boss from TLI had sent me a bouquet of flowers! With a note saying "Thanks for being such a caring soul"!!! She's so sweet. I ♥ her!
