You see a post in a community and recognise, by his screenname, the poster as the brother of a friend whom you've only met through LJ (the friend, not the brother, I don't know the brother from Adam, other than his screenname).
Then read the comments to see your friend (
echomyst) comment on her brother's entry.
Then see another friend, this one a real life friend, but whom you first made contact with on LJ (
lroy) post in the same entry.
