Had a second 14 hour day in a row today and had a BLAST! The first half was spent at turnstiles which kinda dragged on and on. Had the second half at PAC which was a lot of fun! I got to be a team captain and had three extra hours folks on my team. After the fireworks we were directing people out of the park and I came in contact with these two ladies. Both had ECV's (electric wheel chairs) and one had broken down. She was pushing her chair down mainstreet... this is deffinately not the way I want to see my guests exiting the park. I told them to hold while I spoke with my manager to see if we could get them a tow - no luck. So, I offered to push the chair down main street. Pushed it all the way to the turnstiles and through to the monorail ramp. This ramp is fairly steep and there was about a 45 minute wait to get on. Couldn't have them wait there, so I told them to hold again while I made plans. About 10 minutes later, after speaking with Val (head of Magic Kingdom Operations) and Javier (head of transportation) we were able to get them a bus. They were so appreciative that it made realize once again why I do what I do. I love working for Disney!
