Gay people rock
Last night I went to this gay alliance for teenagers with Carly at some interfaith center. It was wicked fun and the kids were welcoming and really friendly. I think I was the only straight person there, which was cool. In three weeks or so there's going to be a panel concerning gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in school, work, their mental health, coming out stories, being closed in, and straight allies. I'm speaking on behalf of straight allies and I need to come up with semi-intelligent things to say at this panel. We worked on that for awhile and a lot of pictures were taken that had nothing to do with the panel, but it was all in fun. Afterwards, the group walked over to McDonald's only to find it was closed due to computer problems. Carly, Alex, and I drove to TGI Fridays and ate there. Yummy food and now my lunch for today is made=) Oh yeah, I got the job at Kohl's! I start training on the 31st. I'm excited and nervous.
