Take Back the Night was amazing. I'm glad Sirens stayed for the whole thing instead of leaving after we performed. Not that I'm implying we were to do that, but I thought that was our original plan. Anyways, at the beginning were a few speakers from different organizations that had to do with sexual abuse prevention and it was interesting hearing what these people had to say, especially the man. He made all the guys in the audience stand up and recite something that basically said 'I will never hit a woman.' There's more to it, but that's the gist. Then Sirens performed "Demons" and it seemed like we got some good feedback. People shared their personal stories with us and I felt sickened, but I didn't get up and leave. There was a march afterwards and I remember guys and girls yelling "2-4-6-8 (insert a few words here because I don't remember) date rape!" It was empowering to watch them, even if some assholes yelled out their dorm room windows, 'Shut the fuck up!' But I guess that motivated the marchers even more=) Fucking awesome, man.... fucking awesome.
