I went to church this morning. I did it because I want to keep my paraphilia at bay. It was a ho-hum (or ho-hymn) kind of service, but the pastor quoted Sartre, something about a discarded, crumpled. . .
Google search string "Sartre AND crumpled AND paper AND accident" produced:

Jean Paul Sartre wrote:
"This world is not the product of intelligence. It meets our gaze as would a crumpled piece of paper..."

and that quote went on to something that he pastor would say was more depressing and yet . . . somehow made me feel a little better.

After that I went to Cen's house (just dropped by) James was there. We went to Safeway shopping and then made lunch:

They made: Broccoli, green pea, leek and potato soup

I made: cheese bread with tomatoes and vanilla pudding with assorted fruit.

Then Cen and I took a nap while James read us an antique book. I had a dream about a moon on the horizon and one about a woman bending over and coughing up a small, well-dressed man who scurried off. Cen dreamed about being buried beneath bodies in the holocaust, then it became a juice factory, then she was in a car and her friend had to blind people with the engagement ring.

I'm still going to Thetis lake with Akira. I've just been lazy today. I haven't been swimming in a long time. Akira went body surfing last weekend. I throw big sticks out in the waves and she swims out - the tough little creature! She's a real surf dog. I love her. (even if she does eat cat poo -- yucky dog, yucky)
