(no subject)
this year i'm going to make one new year resolution.
1) read through the whole bible
i've always read bits and pieces in no particular order, but i've never really been able to finish any reading plan. recently, my sister sent me a "word of life" devotional for leader's of small groups (b/c the student version is to simple). i really like this one b/c you follow 1 of 2 bible reading plans (i chose to read the bible in chronological order), and then each day, there's a passage in the NT that the book will focus on. it offers historical facts, and helps you connect things really well. then they also include one prayer request for a different country each day. so far, from what i've read in this book, this seems like the best devotional/bible reading book. overall: it's informative, has a good layout, and isn't corny. ask me if any of you want one, because i might be getting more from my sister.
man, christmas break is over. it didn't even feel like two weeks at all. the best part of the break for me was new year. Went to michael's house and chilled. Then afterwards we headed to his church Good Shepard i believe at 9:30 for a praise night(everyone is so talented) until 1:00ish. it was a very awesome night. i still can't figure out how i look half white though...
Sunday, heard Wayne's message on the Tsunami and tragedy. it was so well preached. you have to hear it for yourself. i think there's a link on the TCBC website for sermons. you can find it there. went to bestbuy after church, and got the shinedown cd (best rock/metal band), then went to the mall to get my shoes, only to find out the ones i wanted were $120 and only in size 11. BUT IT WAS OK!! ended up buying two pairs at footlocker for $89.99

wait, just remembered: adding to the list, i'm giving up aim on this coming sunday.
