Dear Friends
For 7 years, I have watched as my baby brother Daniel fought for life. Last night he died, held by his parents and surrounded by nearly fifty people who love him dearly. I was there with these wonderful people, astonished and grateful for the amazing love and support they gave unstintingly. My brother touched all of them in his very special way--showed them how live in love and pride and courage, and all without even being aware of what he did or how he was seen. All he knew, every day of his life--right up to the very end--was that he was surrounded by love every minute of every day.
For all your words of comfort and support over the last 7 years, thank you so very much. I love you guys, my friends. I hope you live in the knowledge that, like Daniel, you are surrounded by love every day.
