You know dear, I know people in programs other than Bio/Geo who have a pretty rigorous schedule. English, for one, requires hours of analysis and gives students a lot of much needed personal attention. College isn't just about how hard classes are, it is about what you put in to get out for yourself. People just getting by are only hurting themselves in the end. I really like Frostburg for the fact that I get one-on-one attention and am not lost in the crowd. When I went to a high-calibur highschool, I was kinda a 'bastardized stepchild' and not really worth much. At Frostburg, I got a chance to blossom and find my real potential without being intimidated into passivity. Sure there are some complete idiots in my classes, but they will always be around in life. If they don't affect my learning, then I am cool. Frostburg is also nice with its diversity and ability to allow you to get involved with many different organizations and projects. Be a lil' more open-minded ( ... )

Hey,
If you don't feel challenged there is always a place for you here at the non-clown college ESF. It's a great school, and you are a smart guy, but i do think it might be a bit more rigorous then the burg. The downside would be the distance, and maybe that i'd end up as your RA next year, but it would be awsome to have you up there. Just think, you could expand your hunting, fishing, and skiing horizons. The daks are right around the corner too. I think you would find a whole school with the same kind of feelings as FSU's wildlife society too, which is one of my favorite parts. Anyway, i thought i would just throw a plug in for ESF. :-P

I beg your pardon, but Frostburg is NOT clown school. -_-

Admittedly I havent had any advanced Spanish or English classes. But I didnt come to school for those either. I may have written off those Depts prematurely. There ARE good, academic minds at Frostburg. BUT, they dont seem to be the dominant theme ( ... )

Boooo! You have such a narrow scope on the workings of Frostburg. You don't know many people in upper-level divisions of other majors, so you can't speak for them and their departments as a whole. You have a very skewed and very small sample size. Your probability here fails. I'm sorry for your disappointment, but for the price I pay, I am getting a damn good degree which is comparable to one at other institutions. If you are so unhappy, then leave.

And yes, Carrroll County has higher quality schools for what is offered in Maryland.
