the christian deconstruction of logic and reason
my supervisor, reggie, asked me when i got to work today what i thought of gay marriage, and ran the usual gauntlet of questions meant to convert me to see things his way. i said that if two consenting adults of the same gender want to have sex and/or get married then it is their business so long as they don't physically harm anyone else. reggie, who always speaks as if everybody KNOWS that the god of the bible is the only one and is infallible and who i don't think has ever even thought that someone might have a view different from his, told me, "if two men can get married then a man can marry a horse if everybody is going to do what they want." !!! what??? how does a horse compare to a man? an animal to a human? why do people have to radically twist the facts of a topic to justify their superstitious, "we're not worthy oh, lord" agenda? i am reminded of why i have condemned organized religion in my head.
