Freya is cast in Casting(s) ( a new French tv show for Canal +)
According to her agency's page,Freya is cast in Casting(s).
From what I found on the internet,it's a tv show for the cable channel Canal + (they are the one for broadcast Skins in France) about a few actors's experiences of the casting process whether they are funny or horrible (this was my really bad attempt at translating so here's the short synopsis in French "On y raconte nos expériences de casting, aussi violentes que drôles. Les rôles seront joués par une dizaine d’acteurs de notre génération").They started filming in late March but I think Freya wasn't filming.The cast will include about 10 actors : Freya,Pierre Niney (who is also one of the writers),Ali Marhyar ( Zero Dark Thirty) is also the writer,Benjamin Lavern ,Guillaume Compiano,Fanny Sydney,François Civil,Antoine Gouy,Natasha Andrews. There will be 15 episodes of 30 min each.
Casting(s) is the project of Pierre Niney a 24 year old actor who seems to be everywhere right now.He is the youngest member of the French theater institution that is La Comédie Française. Pierre had a part in LOL ( a French movie about teenagers with Sophie Marceau which had a lot of success here and had an American remake with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore) and was the lead in 18 years old and rising (French title was J'aime regarder les filles).He also had one of the lead roles in Comme des frères which was a successful movie and the director of this movie ( Hugo Gélin) is producing Casting(s).
The last two years,he was nominated for the Cesar awards (France's Oscars) in the male newcomer category (he lost to Matthias Schoenaerts in Rust and Bone with Marion Cotillard).Pierre will play the role of Yves Saint Laurent in Jalil Lespert's biopic movie (there is another biopic project with Léa Seydoux -Inglorious Basterds,Midnight in Paris and Gaspard Ulliel-Hannibal Rising).The cast also includes Guillaume Gallienne (Coppola's Marie Antoinette) as his husband Pierre Bergé and Charlotte Le Bon (Gondry's Mood Indigo with Audrey Tauton -Amelie Poulain - ,Omar Sy-The Untouchables-) and even though the biopic doesn't start filming until June or July the Weinstein Company already bought the movie rights.
I can't wait to hear her French accent ! It would be nice if Freya was cast as Betty Catroux (one of YSL's muse) in the Yves Saint Laurent biopic (Freya and Jalil Lespert have the same agent).
The last photoshoot Freya did was with a French photographer ( http://www.julienpanie.com/#!__studio) who took pictures of Pierre Niney(picture 4 in the link),Hugo Gélin (5) and the two others lead actors of Comme des frères ( 1 and 2).
