Georgia Lester will write for a new E4 tv show "Youngers"
Youngers (working title)is a new E4 drama about a group of inner-city teenagers aiming to become the next big thing on the urban music scene.
It is set in south-east London and follows central characters Yemi and Jay from the day they get their GCSE results.While Yemi celebrates his results, Jay is trying to avoid becoming a boiler fixer like his dad.
The 8 x 30-minute comedy drama will follow the pair’s journey in the music industry starting when Jay, an MC, picks up a leaflet for a music competition.
The cast will be made up of predominantly new talent including YouTube act and Brit School graduates Mandem on the Wall and actor Dee Kartier.
The series is being written by Levi David Addai (My Murder and C4’s Coming Up drama Micah), Georgia Lester (Skins) and Mark Catley (Eggbox, Casualty).
According to his twitter,Rich Cain will be the PR for this.
