Series 5's bad ratings.

I know we've discussed this about a month ago in another post, but can we just talk about the continuing decline of ratings for series 5? Because I've just read that episode 7 only got 332k viewers! I mean, WTF?! That is not good. From what I've read here's the ratings for each episode: Franky - 900k. Rich - 700k. Mini - 500k. Liv - 500k. Nick -

And I know this sounds terrible and I'll prob be jumped for it but I don't mind if Skins ends after S6. I love this cast way too much for it to be ~replaced (of sorts) after their gen ends. And besides, we've already had three generations with at least some varying storylines. What other plots can Skins use now?

That's true, I don't think the writers have much more in them tbh. But I hate that this gen will be seen as a failure if it ends after s6, when I honestly think it is anything but.

I agree. I don't really want a Gen 4 even though I love watching Skins. It would be a bit too much and feel like it was pushing it.

i get what you're saying, but i didn't think they could pull it off this series and they did it again. it's a great show.

My thoughts exactly. I've been pleasantly surprised with this series. I think the writers are at the top of their game right now and I see no reason for the show to get worse or 'dragged out'.

With on this one. I'd rather the show go out on a high note (considering how flawless Gen 3 is so far) than dying a slow, painful death. Yeah, I'm lookinatchu, OTH.

i want a gen 4. if they managed to make gen 3 as great as it is then i have faith they have more gold to spin. plus as much as i bitch about how ridiculous the show gets sometimes, i love the "skins formula" and would not mind seeing it carry on and on and on, even if i'm the only one watching

Skins is purely about its characters so there is still a lot of possibility in regards to how they interact with each other and the world around them. If the writers would focus less on infidelity and love triangles then there is plenty of hope left, otherwise I agree with you totally.
