Dakota is seriously working it in these pictures.

I don't get though, how they say the series is going to be more ~fun and lighthearted~ and then you have a character like Franky who must have suffered either some sort of sexual abuse/rape because of the way her sex scene is described. It just sort of makes me go :| because that is not really fun or lighthearted at all. And I am not really sure if I JB and Co. to attempt to write something that ~dark again.

Rich and Grace are totally going to get together though. And I like the idea of Liv/Matty too, they look cute. I am slightly annoyed by how ~mysterious they are trying to make Matty by not giving him a last name, but it's cool I guess.

Franky/Mini needs to happen, though. Like, woah.

Yeah, but Effy was the one who had the ~dark storyline in S4* and look how that turned out. :| One person's dark storyline can just ruin the whole series. Because like, you can't just drop the serious issue in order to be like, LOL FUN TIME NOW (like JJ's S4 episode) but it also sucks if it gets dragged on too much. It's a delicate balance and one I don't know if JB and co can manage.

* I suppose you could argue that Freddie's storyline was dark too, but it was tied in with Effy's over-arching storyline, so I don't.

Yeah, BE and Jack Thorne wrote basically every episode of S1, which is why it worked. JB ... yeah.

It sounds like a good storyline to me. I like that it's a girl who is sort of quirky and androgynous, so the fact that she's been abused won't define her character and be boring/movie-of-the-week-ish.

I didn't like Effy's stuff in s4 because it was super random. But I think sad/dark pasts can be handled without making the whole thing depressing. Like the episode with Cook's dad is really dark on paper but it doesn't feel as depressing when you're watching it.
