may I just say that Jal is, for me, the most believable/realistic character in any of the series (apart from the teen pregnancy thing - that was totally under par for Skins). she's the only one who gave a rat's ass about anything (school, music), she had real family issues, and, for those reasons, she felt totally alienated from her friends (many of whom were hopeless waste cases) and lashed out because of it.
it makes my heart hurt, but I put Chris as the most stereotyped G1 character. the hopeless, incorrigible party boy with a troubled past and sensitive inside? sorry, pal. :(
I enjoyed Jal because I empathized with her, but I agree. People want to be entertained and with characters like Chris and Tony it's easy to see why she paled in comparison.
The most realistic characters of the whole show for me are probably Jal and Michelle. Jal, just because she is so... normal I guess, everything she does feels like how a real person would react. And Michelle, I have known some girls like her, so I guess that's why I think she is believable. There are so many stereotypes in Skins, that's what makes it intersting and fun. The biggest stereotypes in my opinion are probably Cook, Sid and Chris.
