DIGGING DEEPER
How are your parents like? They're good parents for the most part; I can tell that they care a lot about me and I know they'd always be there for me, no matter what. However, they can be kind of disgusting together (I'm glad they love each other and all, but come on) and I often feel like they overreact to tiny things me and my brother do and say (basically making mountains out of molehills), and make me feel like I'm a horrible person with no chance in life just because of some stupid mistake or thing I said. My dad also has a very bad temper which seem to often lead to the family agreeing to things most of us wouldn't want to just to appease him (something which frustrates me A LOT). They're generally pretty silly and funny (my mum especially), which is nice but can be very embarrassing around other people...
Describe your relationship with your parents. Do you have a close relationship to them? Are they divorced or widowed? They're together but they never bothered to actually get married (they don't see the point in it, and I think my mum has some kind of feminist objection which I can kind of understand). I'd say I'm pretty close to them; probably more so to my mum, in that we spend more time together, we have a lot in common and have a laugh together. I also argue with her a lot more though, and sometimes feel like she picks on me and favours my brother over me - aside from times when his temper gets the better of him, my dad is pretty much the only calm, reasonable person in my family and I'm often more inclined to take his side in arguments and share his views on most things.
Do you have any siblings? How are they like? Yes, one younger brother. He's kind of sweet I guess, loyal and kind, but also incredibly annoying; he's the complete opposite of me in that he's incredibly loud and outgoing while I'm quiet and withdrawn; he's always the center of attention, loves the spotlight while I tend to shy away from it. He's also very clever - much cleverer than me! - which I guess I sort of resent him for, even if I shouldn't. He's boastful, over-sensitive, temperamental, moody and generally irritating, but he's still a good kid for the most part.
How is your relationship with your sibling? Meh, kind of normal I guess? We fight a lot, but at the end of the day he's my brother and I love him. He tends to take my side in arguments as well, and I think he kind of looks up to me, which is cool. We have stupid arguments about the most ridiculous of things, mainly because we're both so stubborn and neither of us will back down, but there are also plenty of times when we get on well, when I take care of him (though he doesn't need it all that much nowadays) and when he's just like a friend to me (a friend who gets on my nerves, a lot - but hey, don't we all have friends like that?) :)
Do you keep a lot of secrets? What, from my family? I don't have any BIG secrets, but I guess I tend to keep quiet about any friendship related dramas (because I don't see the point in worrying them, and they don't really need to know) or if I've done badly at school (because I know they have high expectations for me, and I hate feeling like a disappointment).
Which family do you think you'd fit into the least? (Limit to two!): Probably Cassie's? Because even though my parents can be kinda disgusting they're not THAT bad, and they do care about and pay attention to me and my brother.
