High school friends and breaking waters

So Seamus Mike and I go out to eat tonite at the Friendly's in Wenonah, some little dive of a place up on Rt. 45, it's kind of depressing how small and bleak it is, I was glad when we left and headed over to the Deptford Barnes and Noble, which is now my Official (or unofficial, depending on your point of view) Hangout. Who should I run into when I walk in the door but none other than Nick Palladino, an old actor friend of mine from high school, (we were in Drama Club together), and someone I always admired for his zest for life. We wound up standing in the same spot talking for like an hour and a half then went over to Phily Diner where much laughter and conversation was exchanged. It's the first time I've laughed, really LAUGHED, in a while and it felt good. Mike left the party but at the diner me, Seamus, Nick, Jon, (another friend from high school), and one of his friends, Amy, just sat and talked. Nick Seamus and I basically covered everything from religion to politics to philosophy to movies and everything else in between. I never realized what an intellectual creature Nick was. He pleasantly surprised me. I ran into a friend from Eleven East, we hung out the night before last and had a great time. I'm noticing a pattern here. It's like when one person exits my life fifty other people come in to take his place. And they're healing me. Smiling helps. And so does coming home to find a note saying my cousin Gretchen's water broke. I'm going to have a new baby cousin any hour now. :)
