Day Off of School

Last night I fell asleep underneath the dining room table. I was trying to calm down the dog (Ember), and I eventually got her to lay down, but to keep her from getting back up I had to lay down as well and have a staring contest. I woke up with a killer headache, but that's why I have a 200-count bottle of Advil Liquid-Gel Caplets. I worship those with a passion.

Today, like most of my days off, was pretty pointless though. I was downloading some D&D books so I could make a character for a game a friend from Avalon is running (that'd be James/Genron), and the computer crashed. ~:| (That's an angry face... see the steam coming off his non-existent head?)

Chad came over today. He's helping my brother remake a staff for Avalon, and it's looking uber-cool right now. He also got a new Tarot deck that he wanted to show me. It's kinda cool, but we're both really angry at it cause they renamed the suits (The reason this is bad is because each suit (Pentacles, Wands, Swords, and Cups) have a specific meaning attached to them, in addition to the rest of the card. So with the suits renamed, we're only getting half of the card's meaning.) among other things. I don't like their "elf" either. It's too much like the Santa version.

I got to show him my deck too (mine is The Shapeshifter's Tarot, his is The Fairy's Tarot). My deck's confusing too, but only cause they renamed the Major Arcana and added 3 new cards to it. The imagery on both is amazing though.

So now I'm at the computer; playing Warcraft III; talking to some people; writing in here; and listening to Evanescence, Cruxshadows, and a few other people.

Haha. I did do one thing today. Ember has this chew-toy that looks like a tie-dye hippy version of Mr. Potato Head. It squeaks REALLY loud when you squeeze it (or bite it, in Ember's case). In order to stop her from squeaking it, I just wrapped it inside this blanket and threw it into the hall. So, now Ember is sniffing, pawing, biting, scratching, and growling at this blanket, in the hopes that it might give her the squeaky toy back.

She doesn't realize yet that I still have it on top of my computer.
