whenever you make a suggestion of playing lawn-bowls to anyone under 60, you get either abused, or a reaction of apathy. but get that same person on the bowling green, put a couple of beers into them, and it's SO much fun!

Lawn bowls is the coolest game ever - even without the beer! I have become a recent fan of watching it on the ABC. It's strangely compelling. I think we should all have a game sometime. It's such a good Sunday arvo activity, especially with this weather.
