Something's Afoot

The show opened last night and it actually went very well. The audience was small, but responsive. It was a lot of fun to have a good audience, and I think it pumped us up. I had been having some major doubts about this show, but then I remember it's community theatre and the community will love anything we do. No matter how silly we all look. The director was not my favorite, that's for sure. I had worked with him one other time when he was a music director and he was just awful and unorganized. When I heard he was directing this show I was really worried. His directing was terrible, yes, but I feel we all made the show our own and just adjusted and we have a pretty solid show. The set is fantastic and a lot of fun to "play" on. The cast is also a lot of fun, and they are all so nice. It really is wonderful to be back in community theatre.

I guess I will post dates and times for anyone that thinks they want to attend.

May 13-15, 20-22 (so this weekend and next weekend)

Tickets: Adults $15; Seniors $12; Students $8
Performance Time: Fridays and Saturdays - 8:00 p.m. Sundays - 2:30 p.m.
For tickets call: Marshall Civic Players-269-781-3335 (Although I am sure the show won't sell out, so anyone will be able to come 15-20 minutes early and get tickets at the door)

Sorry I didn't post this sooner for people that are interested in coming, I was just wary as to how the show would turn out. (As selfish as that sounds)...The show itself is silly and funny and it's fun to act silly, which we certainly all do in this show. So I guess if you get a chance and want to, come on over to the Franke Center for the Arts and watch a bunch of silly people die in silly and odd ways :-)
