have left this unsaid but now that's going to change...

posting public, but I realise it's going to be unpopular so I'll cut it. Keep in mind this is not in relation to any one person's drama, but this week's drama explosion.

as I commented to mortaine I don't really mind LJDrama as I can control my access to and involvement in it. If I'm in the mood to laugh at someone else's expense I have a good read. It doesn't bother me because 99% of the time, I don't know those involved and it's such insane drama that half of them deserve to be laughed at. I don't feel even the slightest bit guilty because some of those people are just dumb. It's rare that true personal, feelings being hurt, drama makes LJD because it's not usually that interesting to anyone not involved, and those who are involved often wish they weren't. I also think some stuff is staged for the pure purpose of making LJ Drama, but that's just me and that's neither here nor there.

What I hate to read is the recent incessant drama. It seems as if nearly everytime I click on a person's entry that has more than a few comments, there's a fight in the comments. I don't get it. I hate fighting in comments. If it's someone I care enough about, I have another way to contact them and I'm likely to call/e-mail/AIM them and say hey, we're both acting like five year olds, why? rather than fight it out on LJ. I do admit to making the occasional snarky comment, but usually my snarky entries are filtered from the person in question so I can get it out of my system without taking their heads off.

So I ask, why fight it out on LJ? Is it out of convenience or something else? I'm not criticising anyone's decision, I'm just curious. I have to love this graphic though.

Given the steady drama lately, I'm reading/commenting less attentively, I need an LJ vacation. Poke me if you need me, odds are I may be lurking anyway

on a happier note, down to six unread e-mails! (From 100 earlier today!) Yankees are playing and the couch is calling :D
