Our Sport Is Your Sport's Punishment

9 months ago, I made a plan. I'd been talking about it for about 6 years, but really it didn't come to fruition until Dave Claffey did it himself (for real), and I was motivated to keep pace with him. He had run the Boston Marathon, and I would too.

Last week, I finally kicked my training into gear. I'd been running casually for a while (once or twice a week at a leisurely pace, and playing DL sports as much as possible) but with 2 1/2 months until the race I figured it was time to get serious. I'm pretty proud of how dedicated I've been with it, whether it was last Thursday when I woke up at 6am before work to run 30 minutes, or the fact that it's been under 30 degrees every day...

Whatever it takes to keep Claffey from hanging this over my head.
