Has anybody tried a skincare brush?
Ok, so my roommate bought this crazy contraption and I'm wondering if anybody else has tried it before? It's called a skin brush. I read up on it, and it is a hand-held electronic brush used on the face to deep clean, loosen dirt and oil and exfoliate those dry, dead skin cells. As a bonus, it also eliminates toxins and stimulates blood flow. Crazy!
Said products are supposed to minimize oil production, reduces the appearance of blemishes, normalizes dry skin and smoothes the appearance of visible pores and fine lines. In addition, the exfoliating action of the bristles improves absorption of moisturizer and treatment products. Studies have shown that cleansing with a brush can increase product absorption by as much as 61%.
The only real downfall is that using too often can be abrasive, so it's important to choose a gentle model and follow directions well! The one my roommate has is the Clarisonic pink one here. I might go steal hers when she isn't looking and try it out ;)
