On The Road Again...

I'm giving some serious thought to going back to Europe this fall. I've been mulling it over for quite a few months now. Initially, I almost considered going this spring, but decided that was too short notice. I realize that sounds silly as fall isn't that far away now. When I went to Greece, it was in March. When I went to Amsterdam, it was in May. Basically, the thought process is that I've been to Europe in spring twice so it might be nice to experience a different season.

I almost considered going for my birthday in January with the thought being while there may be snow and cold weather, the temperatures in Berlin and Copenhagen are significantly warmer than here. An average January in Manitoba brings temperatures of -30*C and -40*C is not uncommon whereas in Germany the average is maybe like -2*C. Yeah, big difference. However, I want to get everywhere by bike and I'm not one for pedalling in the cold.

I've been invited to a friend's wedding in California which is to take place next year, presumably in summer, so that was another reason I didn't want to travel to Europe in spring. Too many trips within a few short months means my tolerance for flying would be very, very low.

So, here we are! I would like to go to Berlin for maybe around a week or so and then to Copenhagen for a few days. Why such a short visit in Copenhagen? Honestly, it doesn't look like there's a whole lot to do there so it would basically be to unwind from Berlin and see the few things Copenhagen has to offer. Plus, 2 weeks on my own would be lonely. I found by around day 4 or 5 by myself in Amsterdam, I was starting to miss people. I will do AirBnB again because I had such a great experience and it's cheeeeeeap.
