Lost Words...
I've done some reflecting on why it is I don't post on LJ as frequently as I used to. The reality is other social media, namely Facebook, has wiped away that feeling of needing to express myself in a well thought out blog. It's a lot easier to quickly open my iPod, throw a FB status up, and go about my day. In other words, laziness. I mean, I didn't even post about my last day in Amsterdam which is now almost a year ago. Granted, I didn't do a whole lot that day, but still.
So because of this ease to just post quick thoughts on FB, I've thought about how that's almost a form of killing brain cells. I don't have to think a lot to post a succinct thought on FB whereas on LJ, I need to put in time and effort. Maybe it's time to get back to that even if I have a lot less readers these days. Most people I know who were on LJ are no longer on here. That makes me sad. It's like grieving the lost art of letter writing, in a way.
Expect a longer post in the very near future! Topic covered will be about consumerism and fashion.
