Russia's Greatest Love Machine...

This coming Saturday is the hair competition and I'm pretty excited. On Friday, my hairstylist, Leah, put me back to blonde then this Friday she will add the additional colours. I'm not platinum; it's a nice goldy blonde.

Goldy blonde!

Going back to blonde made me realize that I kind of missed it. Leah gave me a hair masque treatment to apply throughout the week which might lighten my hair more. So by Friday, Leah will decide if she wants to bleach it a bit more to go lighter or just leave it as is. She showed me a pic and described what cut she has in mind and it sounds really cool. It's definitely something I would choose for myself. But, alas, that means my mullet will perish. :(

A photographer friend of mine, Dayna, has an interest in taxidermy, skinning animals, and all that jazz. Coincidentally enough, my Dad traps animals. So yesterday, Dayna and I went to my sister's place so my Dad could teach her some skinning techniques using a pine marten he trapped awhile ago. Yes, that's very unvegan of me, I know. However, I'm not going to change Dad's ways anymore than he's going to change mine. Dayna gave me her fancy camera to use and here are a couple of the results - NOT for the faint of heart! It is an animal being skinned, after all.

After that, I headed to collect my bike from the shop after its annual tune-up and I got a good floor pump for it so I will hopefully avoid that incident last year where I got a flat tire because I wasn't properly maintaining them. Whoops. Then I went to Value Village and found myself a couple of jewellery boxes (yay, trying to organize my jewellery!), a cute summer dress (the price on it was more than it should be for secondhand, but I bought it anyway), and a nice cuff bracelet.

I finally got around to doing a couple of t-shirt surgeries. I really rushed one of them so that one's a waste, but I have 2 others of the same design so it's okay. The other 2 turned out well using no-sew techniques, 1 being kind of a tank top and the other just being off the shoulder. The shirts are still big on me in the body because I didn't sew them to fit. I might do that later on with the off the shoulder one or maybe leave it and enjoy the bagginess.

I don't know what's going on with this period, but my ta-tas hurt quite a bit. I haven't had that since I was on the pill. I must be picking up someone's hormones at work. Anyway, the one good thing is that I kind of have some ta-tas now! I was like, "What in the world... There's some shape and jiggliness to them now!" Hahahaha!

12th book of 2012 complete. A Field Guide to Demons, Vampires, Fallen Angels, and Other Subversive Spirits by Carol Mack and Dinah Mack.

Likelihood of me recommending this book to anyone (out of 5) - 5, if you dig folklore and/or demonology and/or folklore regarding fairies. If that's not your thing, well, don't read the book then. ;)
