I survived the first week back to work. :P It actually wasn't too bad so that was a relief.
I don't have much to post about, hahaha. I've been wanting to do some summer clothes shopping as there are sales on now, but the last time I went to stores I was really disappointed as to what is fashionable now. Instead, I swung by Value Village and got a pair of jeans and 3 summer dresses. 1 dress I had to alter ever so slightly to fit better and that's about it so needless to say I'm quite happy with my finds. I was hoping to find a top or 2, but no such luck this time.
I'm borrowing an ebook from the library about meditation (Meditation for the Love of It) and I have to say I'm not really feeling it. This is pretty much the best way to put it: "A shame then that although the book contains much of value, it’s hard to love it, and at times,
hard even to enjoy it." It's a really tedious read thus far and I may just stop and let it lapse so I can finish reading the other ebooks I've borrowed.
I feel like watching all the Harry Potter movies. I think I've seen the majority of them, but I can't be sure.
My skin is the darkest it's been in years thanks to biking. I've been making efforts to blend it together by tanning so I don't have so many lines. There is that side of me screaming, "This is so bad for you!" and, of course, it is. At the same time, it's utterly impossible to avoid the sun and I don't use tanning beds.
We're supposed to have our roof shingles replaced tomorrow, weather permitting. I hope it gets done because some of our shingles blew away last year in all the windstorms.
Quote I saw on a church billboard that I love: "A life without love is like a year without summer." I love this time of year.
