It's as though the world read my previous insecurity post from yesterday and decided to turn that around. I got numerous complaintscompliments about my hair today, including the office mailman who said it really suits me. Awww! <3 :) I really appreciated all the nice compliments.
I've been really enjoying using my bread maker lately. It's a money saver and no worries about possible allergies or suspiciously-possible-non-vegan ingredients. I made a whole wheat bread yesterday but substituted half the water with
coconut milk and then threw in some hemp butter, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, rolled oats, and flax seeds. It's very delicious and surprisingly soft when toasted.
I saw my chiropractor today. He informed me it's been 5 years, not 4, since the last time I saw him. "How's a guy supposed to make a buck off of you?" Hahaha! He lectured me a bit on why I need to see him more often than that, even if it's just once a year. He asked, "How often do you see your massage therapist; once a month or so?" I said yeah, give or take. He asked why I saw her that often. I said, "Because it's relaxing and feels good, not that you're unpleasant to see or anything." *lol* He was like, "Aaaand...because it's good for you! It's good for your health! So is coming for a tune-up on your back, just like your car." Fine. I can do that, I suppose. I told him he only has himself to blame since he did such an excellent job treating me in my teens. The good news is I'm not crazy and there are a couple of problem areas. The other good news is that I'm not too far gone. No bad news, haha. Hopefully a couple of sessions and I'll be good again. Problem areas were a few vertebrae moving together in unison as opposed to separately, namely 2 vertebrae in my neck (which would explain why I never feel like I can fully stretch my neck out and why it's often achey - even the massage therapist said it's finicky) and 2 between my shoulder blades which explains last week's pain and, again, why I feel like I can never stretch it out properly. The other problem area is my lower back (a bit tight) which would be from muscles tensing during bad endo pain, and my left hip isn't moving quite as fluidly as my right one. I go see him again next week to assess how the treatment went and if I need to see him a couple more times or if that'll be good enough. Nothing is fused so that's good, but these problems could have been going on for a couple of years which would be bad and need a bit longer to work out.
While I haven't noticed anything earth shattering with my liver cleanse, I think I'm noticing a negative side effect which is dreaded sleepiness. UGH! I thought I was over that! Hopefully that stops soon and not that the full 30 days of this cleanse means I'll feel wiped day in and day out.
