Good Morning, Star Shine...

Or should the song say for me, "Good morning, Starscream"? ;)

I cancelled my appt to get eyelash extensions applied. I got the Ardell permanent lashes to try out instead. Well, after a few hours and falling asleep, I woke up with red, irritated eyes. *sigh* So then I tried to take them off. Well, the remover burned my eyeballs terribly! I lost a few lashes in the process but they're gone and I'll stick with fakies that go on the lids.

At long last, I started my liver cleanse yesterday. So far, not noticing anything but I'm not expecting I will. My naturopath had told me to do one of these and I kept putting it off.

I had my first pedicure, at Posh in the Village, on Friday and it was quite nice. My feet are back to being very smooth and now I have bright pink Barbie toenails, haha.

I got my hair cut super duper short again yesterday. I don't have any good pics yet so perhaps when Andrew wakes up he can take one or two. We went with lavender toner over the blonde so it'll fade to platinum then to a golden yellow. If I want to maintain the lavender tint, I just have to add concentrated purple grape juice to my shampoo. I'm not sure if I'll keep it this short over the course of the summer or let it shag out. I may end up letting it shag out. I really like having it this length, especially during the summer so I don't have helmet hair when driving my scooter. *lol* Andrew isn't fond of my hair being this short; he never has been. I like the lack of maintenance in sprucing it up and, to me, it's a classically beautiful cut.

I started reading The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl on Friday. The TV series Secret Diary of a Call Girl is (loosely) based on this book. Anyway, it's a good read thus far, but I'm not into extreme degradation yet this woman is. Good for her, but I can definitely see why they took that aspect out of the TV series (I don't imagine the majority of people would connect with a character who's into being hit in the face or pissed/shit on). Oh, and she has a strong desire to be fisted (again, I can see why they'd take that out for TV). Fisting is something I really, really don't understand the appeal of, both for the person taking it and the person doing it. The person doing it would have that sense of power, sure, and that I can understand. But the person taking it is getting fucking wrecked and I don't get why someone would want that. Like I said, good for her and it's her life. I'm enjoying reading this book and I don't think any less of her because of her sexual choices. Here's a great line from the book, first chapter: "I dumped a gusher in my knickers, as they say. Like, instantly." *lol!* Love it!

I'm going to see my chiro on Tuesday for the first time in just over 4 years. The receptionist I booked the appt with remembered me. *lol* That's how I often I used to have to go. Anyway, last week I had terrible upper back pain to the point it was difficult to get out of bed. I couldn't get in for a massage any time soon, or the chiro for that matter, so pain killers and the heat pack got me through. It's much better now though still a bit tender. I'm not sure if it's skeletal or muscular, but I'll get it checked out either way. Plus, I hear the occasional soft "click" when I move my head shoulder-to-shoulder and sometimes a bit of a "click" towards my lower back when I walk (though it doesn't hurt at least).

The sun is finally out!! :D
