[Near the shore line of the beach, a rather short teenager is reclining against a palm tree with his right foot buried in the sand. His cheeks are starting to redden with a sunburn.
As usual, he can sleep just about anywhere. He has an open book near one hand and a split coconut cradled in the other.]

It's then he notices the human flopped up against the palm. He steps closer, heavy footsteps unmistakable.]

He catches a glimpse of his flesh arm, and notices that it looks almost the same hue as the lobsters on the beach.]
[He starts laughing in spite of himself.]
You mean "sunburn"? Trust me, it's not voluntary.
[He touches the skin gingerly, wincing when it turns pale and red again.]
You wouldn't happen to have... I dunno, aloe vera or something, would you?

I fell asleep - I wasn't trying to burn myself into a crisp.
Aloe vera. It's basically this stuff you slather on your arms to make a sunburn go away. Plus it just feels really good to have something cold on your skin when it's sore from a burn.

[He rolls up his pants and shakes his automail foot out - shit, he definitely got some sand in it. His mechanic isn't even here, so he hopes it isn't bad enough to warrant a repair.]
