things this second:

awesome broadcast songs i haven't heard before making me feel extra swirly

saint apollonia (prince!) is patron saint of teeth and dentistry, having had her teeth broken out by her martyr-ers before her body wouldn't burn at the stake and she was ultimately beheaded. i'm having some feelings about her.

today i was swept off to the river with my roommates and friend, then to the local bar of apparent choice for good unhealthy food, then to the better local bar up the way to encounter who but *ZACK P.* of both my past portland lives, who has always been the sweetest guy and adorable and i'd forgotten has the funniest laugh; whose friend steven was hilarious and generous and wisely realized very quickly that, televisual merits aside, one just can't compare mad men to the occult singularity of twin peaks.

"I FEEL MYSTERIOUS TODAY; EVERYTHING IS HUMMING LOUDLY"

at the beach elaina found a broken television, so naturally we buried it in a huge sand mound and covered that in satanic symbols.

a "tendril" is an arm- or finger-like outcropping on a vine which serves to balance and/or help support the main plant, while the thing growing out from the center of the succulent in my window is actually a "peduncle" or flowering stalk. whereas my original plant is a little spiky clump nowhere taller than maybe three inches, the peduncle, which i suddenly noticed a week ago, is now over a foot long with little bud-y bits at the end, and i hope i hope i can nurse it into blooming.

i'd like to talk about some of the dreams i've been having, but there has been too much whiskey today.

i miss my sister. a lot. and i need to get glasses. so bad.

many individual features of my boyfriend's face resemble those of bruce willis, and yet i would not actually say they look alike, nor is that something i would particularly want. anyway my boyfriend is gosh, so handsome, even though he has poor posture and stresses too much.

I HAVE TO STOP BUMMING SMOKES. STOP STOP STOP ANNA STOP. BE A QUITTER DO IT.

this guy i know is selling his aesthetically perfect and i'm told quite reliable early '80s subaru thingy for $1400, down from $2000, and i'm real tempted to make irresponsible decisions to get it.
