I liked this lots and lots, the way they work together so easily, and Sam simply trusting Cam to do the right thing. I liked the vulnerability Cam admits to, and then sees mirrored in John. And there is a world of possibilty in this line: maybe a kiss wouldn't have been as shocking to her as he'd thought that opens the story in all sorts of ways...

Well, it did end kind of abruptly, so I suppose a sequel would make sense...

Have to finish a couple of other things first, but I'll add it to the list. :)

I really enjoyed this - they work so well together, and it's so typical of both of them to be risking their careers for someone else. I love that John paid for Cam's cousin to fly out, and that Cam wants to pay him back - it's a nice character moment for both of them. And of course I love that Sam is almost certainly assuming a relationship, given that she doesn't know about John's nephew.

Thanks. I'm glad you bought the motivation; I wasn't sure about it since I had so little time to build an emotional bond between them and these brand-new, out-of-the-blue relatives.

And really, what else could Sam think when she sees Cam turning to John for help rather than one of his (former) teammates? :D

This was really good. I always think it's fun to put John and Cam together, either scheming-together or together-together, and I could definitely see them trying to pull something like this off for their families. Sam was great, too, for being so understanding and helping them out no matter what.
