Star Trek: Discovery: 4.02 Anomaly

Nov 30, 2021 23:34

So I see Paramount backtracked and decided to get the rest of the world--or at least a good chunk of it--Star Trek: Discovery in a more timely fashion. I wonder how many people will sign up for Paramount+ just for that?

Reactions to 4.02, Anomaly
- Poor Book! I wouldn't want to do anything but stare into space either.
- I love Suru, and I'm glad they found a way to bring him back, but I'm not sure how I feel about him serving as first officer under Burnham. That seems like a difficult transition to make. On the other hand, I suppose they didn't have a lot of choices there.
- There's nothing like a universe-threatening disaster to bring people together. Will this be the event that pulls planets back in to the Federation?
- I'm enjoying the new uniforms.
- I'm really waiting to see what they do with Gray once he has a body. But they really just gave up on seeking immortality for everyone this way? Perhaps that's indicative of a deeper cultural shift in the relationship to death. Or maybe they just really, really couldn't make it work.
- So what is going on with Tilly? I read some comments saying that the episode felt like one long therapy session, but I think they've earned it. Although I admit, I'd prefer that not be the focus of every episode.
- So, V'Ger, then? Maybe? This entry was originally posted at https://skieswideopen.dreamwidth.org/267369.html, where it has
comments. Comments are equally welcome on either entry.

fandom: star trek, there's no such thing as too much tv
