Superheroes and Such.
I'm leaving for Penang tomorrow! I can't wait. We're gonna go swimming, shopping, eating ... ah, bliss. Since that my dad decided against bringing us to Bandung (that's in Indonesia ... they've got factory outlets there, everything is so cheap!) Penang is pretty good too.
Went to KLCC yesterday to buy something to keep me busy during the trip. So I've bought Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony. My friend Tarsha asked me a few weeks ago whether she could tell me whatever happened in the book. Naturally, I said no. If there's one thing I hate, it's spoilers. Then I went online and chatted with an old friend of mine, Ashli. So he asked me whether I've read it yet. I said no. Then he's going all "SPOILERS!!!!" And then tells me what happens. Gah.
I had a dream the other night that I was dressed in a Robin costume and floundering in the ocean. Then I climb out covered in muck, jump up and start flying around this castle that just appeared out of nowhere. I was using the cape as a sort of parachute thing. Next thing I know, I'm back in the water again, floundering. Weird.
Oh and yesterday, I was sitting around with my aunty and grandfather. My aunty was reading an article about this local director guy (he directed a movie called 'Cicak-Man'. Cicak means lizard. Anyway, this movie is a blatant rip-off of Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, Daredevil ... the list goes on. In other words, it sucks. I'm ashamaed to say that a lot of my fellow Malays actually like it. :gags: ) and who his favourite superhero is. He says Superman. When asked why, he says it's because Superman was the first ever superhero. The following conversation is like this:
Me: That's all? The first ever superhero. Lame. Not even a good reason.
Grandad: There were superheroes before Superman. Do you know who they are?
Aunty: There was Green Lantern.
Me: Captain Marvel?
Grandad: Yes, that's right. Captain Marvel. What's the word he says that turns him into-
Me: SHAZAM!
Grandad: :laughing: Yes!
I love my Grandad. He's so cool. ^^ I actually knew the answers to the questions he asked. Man, I'm such a geek. :D
