wow for the beauty
Today was a relatively productive day. Sunday (it is Sunday here) is our free day, and I got to sleep in until 8:30 am!!!! (our days normally start at 6:30am or so) I got up, ate, got online and did some emailing and checking of lj and other blogs, then did a shit the last reading for tomorrow, then wrote my last field report for tomorrow, and then ate lunch. After lunch, two friends and I went down on the site walk and did some bush-wacking until we found the waterfalls one of our classmates discovered. We found them, and they were GORGEOUS. Absolutely beautiful. It was so surreal. We were BATHING in a WATERFALL in a RAINFOREST. It was AMAZING! I told my friends that we would be the next Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models, SFS (school for field studies) Australia Swimsuit Calender models ;). I got some great photos. It was soooo gorgeous.
I will try and get them up on ofoto, but the server here moves slower than a sedated python and won't upload. I'll see what I can do.
Meanwhile, I have gotten a tad sunburned but have had fun, and last night (which was Valentine's Day here) my friends and I ate chocolate and popcorn and sighed blissfully as we watched Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall, which is the only movie which I think he looks truly gorgeous in, he doesn't appeal to me other than that. I think Aiden Quinn is very attractive too, but that just may be because he's Irish (I'm sure you're with me on this, Chels :)) Ok, need to do...stuff...I guess more work, as I don't really have anything better to do...such is life. But hey, at least I'm legal here, and have visited the pub a few times. It is SOOO nice to just be able to go up to the bar and get a beer or glass of wine, and no one bats an eye. Its not going to be easy going back to the U.S. where I'll be underage. Bah. How many more months until my birthday...9 months...ug.
