Today....is the end of the end, and the beginning of the beginning

Today, I get up and 9am. Today, I drag my luggage down from the attic to the front hall. Today, I unplug all that is plugged in in my room. Today I go to the gym at 11am, and then instead of driving home, go to Boston. Last night was the last night I'm sleeping in my own bed for 4 months. Tomorrow, I'm leaving on a jetplane from Boston to L.A., from L.A. to Sydney, from Sydney to Cairns, and a drive from Cairns to Warrawee (the name of the field site, means "welcome" in an aborigninal tongue). http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll, That's a map of Australia, zoom in at the top right corner of the country, zoom in on Cairns, center map over a town called Atherton when you can, keep zooming in, keep zooming in, until you find a town called Yungaburra (you have to zoom in all the way, its to the right of Atherton). I feel like I'm writing my last will and testament for some stupid reason. Like this might be the last time I'll see any of you for a long time, well, it has been a long time, it just seems final now, you know? Its scary. I mean, I'm excited, its just such a change, such a big one, that its not computing. Error signals are flashing in my brain. I need this. I know I do. Ignore my whinning and panic, I'm trying to ignore the constriction I feel around my chest when I think about it :). I'll be fine. I'll be great. At least I'm going somewhere warm, right?

Aghhhh. So crazy!!!
