A... semi-meme?
theblackedahlia prompted me to fill out this self-quiz... meme thing? Not entirely sure and most of you already know me, but I feel like talking about myself so I decided to fill one of these out. Let's just hope it isn't the DHS trying to obtain information on me. (Thanks Little Brother for making me paranoid)
1.) What's your favorite color(s)?
-Pretty much any shade of blue. I also love black and silver. =D
2.) How old are you as of this posting?
-15. I'll try not to act too much like an immature little shit, but I can't guarantee anything. Sorry ahead of time.
3.) What's your favorite animal?
-I love wolves. Kinda cliche, but whatever. I also love owls and other birds of prey.
4.) Cats or dogs? Why?
-Hard to choose. I love both generally, but it just depends on the individual animals. If I absolutely had to pick I'd choose dogs, but I'm no fan of rat dogs.
5.) How tall are you? What's your natural hair color? What's your natural eye color?
-5'6"-5'7"... I think? My hair used to be dirty blonde but it's really faded into a muddy brown over the last few years. My eyes have always been hazel.
6.) If you could be a mythical creature, what would you be?
-Probably a gryphon or a dragon. Both rank equally on the badass scale.
7.) What "stereotype(s)" are you?
-For whatever reason people try to classify me as an anime nerd despite the fact I never really watch anime... ever and read manga only ocassionally. But more commonly I'm pinned as a nerd, which makes more sense.
8.) Glasses? Contacts? 20/20 vision?
-Glasses. My eyesight isn't as terrible as most in my family, but my left eye is too screwed up for me to go without glasses. My eyes dislike contacts, so I don't wear them.
9.) Democrat or Republican? Why?
-I really support independent groups overall, but since they have little chance of ever succeeding on a large scale (which is really unfortunate), I'd have to say Democrat. Most politicians are corrupt, but Republicans rarely seem to have anyone's best interest at heart. I guess I was just raised to be liberal.
10.) Religious? Agnostic? Atheist? Searching?
-I'm an atheist. Born and raised that way. Religion just doesn't make much sense to me, and I've generally had bad experiences with it.
11.) Interests?
-Whoo boy. Well, I like gaming, reading, and writing a lot. >< I suppose that makes me a general nerd, haha. I also take great enjoyment from watching terrible Scifi movies. In fact, I'm watching one right now; something about aliens making a bunch of volcanoes explode.
12.) Favorite food?
-I love food in general, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I just ate a delicious hot dog, so that's what I'm happy about right now. I love cupcakes and chocolate. My favorite fruit is blueberries. ^^
13.) Relationship status? Relationship beliefs/sexuality?
-I'm single, not really looking for anyone. *shrug* Frankly I have no idea what my sexuality is, as my hormones are a giant cesspool of FAIL at the moment. I believe love is love no matter what you label it as.
14.) Favorite smell?
-I LOVE the smell of vanilla. I also like the smell of the detergent I use (weird I know).
15.) City, suburbs or rural?
-I live in the suburbs, but I absolutely love rural settings. My sister, mom, and I go to New Mexico every summer and spend most of the time in the Gila Wilderness, which is one of my favorite places on earth (and VERY rural).
16.) Favorite time of year?
-I like this time of year because that's when we get the major rain. Rain is my favorite weather, hands down; there's nothing quite like getting soaked through in a torrential downpour. Maybe that's weird. O.o
17.) Favorite book(s)/short story(ies)/poem(s)/play(s)?
-There are so many. So many. There's no way I can list them all here.
Well one of my favorite novels is American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Twilight has NOTHING on that novel; the writing is amazing. I love Mercedes Lackey books, as they explore some of my favorite fantasy elements. One of the serieses I have recently read and really love is the Midnighters series by Scott Westerfield. It has a great balance of science fiction and horror, and uses one of my favorite themes, time.
18.) What clothes/jewelry/shoes/makeup do you usually wear?
-I almost always wear jeans and a T-Shirt, maybe with a hoodie if the weather is cool. I don't normally wear jewelry or makeup; I'm something of a tomboy. Shoes, I usually wear sneakers or sandals. On the rare occasion that I feel like dressing up, I have an uber-comfy skirt I bought in Estes Park one time and some dress shirts and boots. But that's maybe two or three days out of the year.
19.) What music/bands do you like?
- My music tastes are fairly random. Metal-wise I love Nightwish and Sonata Arctica, but I also love rock bands like Poets of the Fall. I'm not sure exactly what you'd classify The Decemberists as, but I love them, too. Reel Big Fish is awesome on the ska-band front. One of my favorite artists is Vienna Teng; her voice is absolutely gorgeous and she has some of the most intricately detailed and beautiful lyrics of any artist I really know. I've recomended her music to a lot of people.
I have many other favorite bands, but I'd probably be listing quite a few.

-I have a bunch. Movies... Well recent-wise I love Hot Fuzz, the Lord Of The Rings movies, Lucky Number Slevin, and the Curious Case of Benamin Button. I also LOVED the new Star Trek movie that just came out... I generally like Pixar movies quite a bit as well. Repo! The Genetic Opera was pretty damn awesome too, I want to see it again.
Shows... I'm kinda cliche and love Firefly. There was a show that ran briefly and was cancelled called Tru Calling that had some really interesting concepts that I was fond of. I like Bones and Doctor Who as well. I dunno, I don't watch too much TV. I mostly wait for DVD releases and watch them with my mom.

-I'm a car noob, so I have no idea. I love cars that qualify as "classic" though.
22.) Job/school status?
-Too young to have any kind of real job, though I'm going to try to obtain one when I turn 16. I'm a Sophomore right now.

-I drink a lot of milk. I like some sodas, too. Tea and coffee are, of course, awesome as well.
24.) Future goals?
-Write a book. I'm just worried that my characterization sucks.
25.) What are you obsessed with right now?
-Nothing in particular. Evidently, I'm just boring.
26.) PC or Mac? Operating System?
-Mac, foo'. They overall suck less, but it's annoying that most software is for PCs. =(
