Where's the best place in Oakland / Squirrel Hill to get boxes for moving? I'm talking about the hard-core strong moving boxes, not just the thin ones from the UPS Store on Craig Street.

Thanks!

UHaul is probably as good a choice as any other. The one on washington boulevard (just go down fifth away from the city and keep going, it will be on your right after the gas station and around the bend) has quite a lot of boxes and other packing items. I will warn you, it ain't cheap. The small boxes run $1.75 each and the medium ones are $2.35 each. You'll always need more than you buy. Staples also sells boxes - some are a bit more expensive than uhaul but not by much.

If you can wait a couple days and you need 25+ boxes you can save a bit of money if you go directly to the place that supplies the boxes to uhaul and stables - uline... http://www.uline.com/Browse_Listing_414.asp They are selling the equivilant of uhauls small box (12x12x16) for about a third the price. $0.69 per. Of course, shipping is a bear but it still ends up being less (delivery tends to be next day even with ups ground because the warehouse is nearby).

As a comparison 25 small boxes will be just under $31 including shipping and tax from uline and just under $47 from UHaul (including tax).

Oh, wow! Thank you so much, that's wonderful! I probably will wind up ordering them since I don't need to be out of here for another month. Thanks again!
