how can a job be entry level and require 3-5 years of experience? and does graduate school count?

I started searching through job postings today. I can't seem to find any entry-level jobs that I don't feel way overqualified for. I don't have a problem landing a job which requires only a master's, but many of the trial consulting jobs which are entry level appear to be over-glorified assistants rather than researchers. Also, the firms which appear to be hiring don't appear to be in my preferred location. So maybe I'm not meant to find a job in trial consulting right off the bat. I'm going to continue looking, and hopefully I can find something to apply to that's on the east coast. The thought of staying in academics is becoming more appealing to me, so I'll probably look at some lecturer positions. It looks like teaching positions are more plentiful, but I can't tell if the postings are just left up perennially. Time will tell.

Things are looking good, despite the job search revalation. This weekend I'm getting together with my neighbors again for dinner. I think this time I'm teaching one of them how to make cheese fondue. Shoud be interesting. And good picture-taking material. Also, my vacation with my cousin is back on again, maybe. At first, she wasn't able to get time off from work, but I found out today that she now can take the time to come to California. Now she's looking for a place to go, since the one she wanted was booked or something.
