taking a break...
I just finished watching Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet, which I started watching yesterday. I've been in love with the movie since watching the 4-hour monstrosity in senior year language arts in high school. It took forever, with our 40 minute periods, but it was worth it.
I met with my dissertation advisor today, and while I was more-or-less prepared for the meeting, my advisor had not fully read what I had given to him Monday. Instead of starting with the new stuff, he re-read the old stuff. Whatever. He skimmed the rest, and the meeting was still able to be productive. And I've got a lot of things that I can do to spruce it up while I'm waiting for him to get me the revisions. It just would have been nice to get all the corrections at once.
