Prologue
Kim Jonghyun, also referred to as Raptor, got detained on 06.09.2010.
After numerous examinations he got diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder. Experts mentioned his distinctive sense for aesthetics and also an outstanding education. In addition they accented his above-average intellect.
Other mental sicknesses were not discovered. For information only, the subject seemed to have a fondness for collecting things.
We know practically nothing about the person behind Raptor. After some tests, experts were able to date his year of birth around 1990.
Not treated bone fractures indicate abuse in early years of childhood. Raptor preferred to remain mute about it.
Other characteristic traits are his abnormally sharp canines and biting power.

The young man slowly diverted his gaze from the report he had been reading out loud for the past few moments. Nervousness knitted his brow and he could feel his palms getting sweatier and sweatier. It wasn’t like this case was anything new to him but still, the mere thought of Raptor helped him stimulate his circulation.
“I don’t like the idea, Taemin,” he said, dropping the file on the desk. “Couldn’t you choose someone else?”
“I never chose him, I got assigned with him.”
“Then you should have declined!” Jinki banged his fist on the table. He couldn’t understand why his brother didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of the whole situation.
“I don’t get you, Jinki. Stop fussing and think about it. I’m just meeting Raptor to get information for my bachelor thesis. It’s not like I wanna ask him out, or so.” Taemin gave a slight shrug and grabbed the folder, which were dropped by his brother some time ago. “Really, Jinki, what’s the problem?”
“The problem is that I know him.” Jinki tiredly massaged his temples.
In this very moment he once again realized why he always hated the idea of Taemin studying criminology. It was causing nothing but trouble and in this special case his younger brother it was even worse.
Taemin talking to one of Koreas most dangerous killers? Jinki couldn’t think of something more exhilarating.
“You know, I’m working with him since the day he got here and for heaven’s sake, Taemin, this isn’t a game. Raptor doesn’t need to get in striking distance to cause harm. You have absolutely no idea what he can do with words!”
“I do.” Taemin gave a pained smile. “I just need to look at you or dad and I know everything. But I’m not a child anymore and I’m studying for quite a while now. Don’t worry about me, okay? I read about the tricks psychopaths love to play with.”
“Well then.” Jinki slowly got up, pulling the white lab coat off. “Seems like I can’t change your mind, can I? I’ll talk to father and make sure someone will take you to Raptor’s cell tomorrow. I just hope you know what you’re doing, Taemin.”
While Jinki was turning away from him, Taemin just smirked triumphantly. Convincing Jinki of sending him to Raptor had been a tough job. Still, Taemin had always known that he would make it in the end. He just knew his brother and how he worked.
Perseverance always pays off, he thought, getting up. While doing so, he accidentally dropped the folder on the floor. Sighing, he bent down to pick it up, when his eyes fell on a picture of his “project” fixed on the right corner of the profile sheet.
