Thanks for the Memories

Nov 24, 2005 16:48

It's that time of year where you have to consider that saying sorry isn't enough. No it's time to let them know why you're sorry for disappointments and mishaps made, because you appreciate the people in your life. Yes, it'd time to say thank you alright. My stomach is satiated to the greatest extent, and thusly I have warmth to share. If the ingrates could here me, even in this rotten year of 2005 I have some things to be thankful for over the past year since season last.
I am thankful for the bounty of harvest season, especially pumpkin based food products.
I am thankful for pie.
I am thankful for my friends, who I can rely on for at least an open ear, and I am thankful that they know they can come to me for help as well.
I am thankful for an education in and out of class that help me understand the world better.
I am thankful that I have been blessed from the burden that daunts most people.
I am thankful for a lack of credit card debt.
I am thankful for the acceptance and understanding of others.
I am thankful that Bush's approval ratings are continually approaching Nixon-era lows.
I am thankful that Republicans have spent most of their political capital, and that Democrats have realised they are an opposition party.
I am thankful to witnes the downfall of the most powerful nation in the world.
I am thankful that many of my civil liberties persist to allow me to speak openly.
I am thankful that my probation is ending.
I am thankful that I have a forum called live journal to keep in touch with others and express my own ideas about the world.
I am thankful that most of the people I know are in good health.
I am thankful for everything I have going for me (because I am tremendously lucky)
Most of all, I am thankful to have a fun, supportive family that I love so very much more than words can express for me. It is a blessing that I can't help but appreciate and hope to return.

I am thankful that I am alive everyday.
Thank you LJ

life, thanks
