I never thought I'd say this, but - thank you george clooney for making something that ought to improve the world. Try catching "Good night, and good luck" at your nearest theatre if you haven't already - it will be off screns within the week. Good film, makes important points, and isn't total garbage. Then again, you might consider the fact that I actually enjoyed watching "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind".

While I'm here merely keeping tabs on things, I thought I'd mention something I realised on my way back from my film field trip tonight, about my trip out of town over the weekend. I was making that ultimate driving mix, and I added a couple songs I hadn't even heard before, including one in particular - "old flame" by The Arcade Fire. Considering that this playlist was demolished on my return trip, perhaps it was extinguished (or never really on fire)

Goddamn I hate NAZIs. I just won't cop that to them, to fuel their final solution. No sense in continuing a perpetual sense of victimization.

I think I killed the fascist inside of me finally (though maybe not the totalitarian yet). My sense of antagonism in all in my mind - I can form new associations rather easily again. Are you, or have you ever been, a member of the communist party? I am my own party, not any other party. The state is not, nor should ever be, the party.
"This is, I say, the time for all good men not to go to the aid of their party, but to come to the aid of their country." said even Senator McCarthy, to which even I can agree (sort of).

music, threat, ipod, mccarthy. communists, film, arcade fire, trip, nazis
