MEMORANDUM FROM THE NATIONAL AFFAIRS DESK

Aug 24, 2005 05:34

TO: CNN Daybreak (re: Pat Robertson)
CC: Ed Turner, James Carville, Pat Buchanan
From: Thadius Elliot, Gonzo Marketting
Subject: Emegency procedures in re PAT ROBERTSON and your PERSONAL DANGER...sanity versus the FCC

Despite the 1st amendment, it is routine policy (SCOTUS supported) to arrest those speakers calling for people to commit violoent crimes. This man is calling for the President to assasinate a democraticly elected foreign leader. The pigs may be in power, but that doesn't mean they can use this kind of NAZI rhetoric. After all, no one called for Hitler's assasination in Argentina when Pinnocet was put into power.
if this were an act of civil disobedience i would understand his right to say whatever the hell he want, but he is calling for something that is not in his power and against the god he worships...it is illegal, and we should keep in mind that he has an FCC obligation to serving the public interest, not his own (petroleum) interests. CBN has tax-exempt status, and we do not, so we have to keep the pressure on him to disarm this dangerous rhetoric.

consider for a moment if someone on the political left, say Micahel Moore, had made these comments. he would be denounced as a radical crackpot within minutes of a comment like this. I think we all know what Robert Novak would say too...

where is ed turner on this one? is he even there on this one? Good god Bubba, what did you do to him?
Don't even try to tell me he is eulogizing for that wretched Dr. Thomson down in Woody Creek...that doesn't mean you all can't act without his blessing on this.

dr. thomson, robert novak, hugo chavez, ed turner, eulogies, assasination attempts, 1st amendment, cbn, petroleum interests, facists, pat robertson
