Taste of London

Last night was just amazing, went to the taste of London with everyone from work and our ad agency and the media buying agency that we work with. Everything was provided by the ad agency, it was amazing. First we left work and went to their offices to have champagne and canapés. Then around 6 we headed to Regents Park to go to the event, it had all of the top chefs in London, each with 3 of their signature dishes. It was £20 just to get in, which our ad agency had taken care of, along with about £40 worth of coupons for food. Then on top of it they kept buying wine all night. It was a perfect night, the weather was just perfect and being the longest day, we had light until quarter to ten. I tried foix gras for the first time, and a few other amazing dishes.
I met our chef from the InterContinental, Theo Randall, which was great, and had some of his dishes, but really didn’t eat much last night, drank far more. Met some great people from the ad agency, and now I can’t wait to spend a day in their office with them all. So after the taste of London everyone had talked about going out, but not many remained, but I still went with a few of the ad people and went to a private members only club in Soho, it was great. Private lounges, great cocktails, and got a chance to meet the designers a bit better. So finally by 2am and after a few rounds of gin and tonics and martinis, I was called a cab and went home. This morning is rough.
