Today is the PIG ROAST!
Well, yesterday was a big bummer. It was supposed to be last day of work, but the power outage killed that, along with the lunch my boss was going to take me out for. She said we could reschedule for next week though... yumm! Yesterday was also a pain in the ass... I mean in the neck... because I hurt me neck somehow. I woke up at 4am and I couldn't move because my neck was so sore. I'm telling you, I'd never exerienced anything so painful. I was trying to get to the telephone on my night stand so I could call for help because there was no one at my house. I took an hour before I got close enough to the phone to pick it up... then I realized it was dead becuase the power was out.
So... I slowly made my way down the stairs and into the family room to call my dad at the cottage. He came pretty quickly and took care of me. My mom came a bit later in the morning to check up on me too. I saw the doctor and he got me into a spot at the hospital to see a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist was getting ready to leave when I got there though because they were under orders to shut down the hospital (because of the electricity issue). She stayed though to show me some exercises to try and get my neck better. It's better today, but still very sore and I can't straighten it yet.
Last night Lindsey and I watched the movie "Tears of the Sun". It was a very upsetting film which was all about the inhuman wars happening in Africa. Although it was depressing, it was a very good movie.
I'm looking forward to Laura's pig roast tonight, I just hope my neck straigtens out so I don't look like an ostrich!
