which so happens to be an excellent wolf parade song.
its rare that i feel completely and utterly let down by everyone in my life. its worse when the feeling spawns to the entire world, resulting in a feeling that you literally are alone in your condolences.
i, with the help of a few others committed to a cause around LA, poured my heart and soul into prop 87 (on the california ballot), only to be once again, let down. whats worse, is that nobody else seems to even care. "erica, what are you running in the election...why do you care?"
this prop was so revolutionary in its attempt to reform the way californians, and eventually americans, look at the oil industry and energy usage in general. why are people so caught up in the archaic oil usage paradigm?
it is just absurd to me that people, especially those i consider to be intelligent, have no foresight ability and are only concerned in their contemporary moment. there is a future, that regardless of whether you want to admit it, will be affected by your actions.
i have an imitation of dr. seuss' 'the lorax' (as it relates to manifest destiny) due tomorrow. it's going a lot better than i presumed, and hopefully it will be a good accent to the bob dylan and the enlightenment.
