Note: This is a slight AU history detailing where Tracey comes from and how he became a Pokemon Watcher.

Much of Tracey Sketchit's life has been mostly kept to himself. The short version is that there's not much to tell. Being an only child raised by his mother on Tangelo Island in the Orange Islands, he left home when he was about twelve years old (with his first pokemon Venonat) to travel to another island to find out his calling. He soon discovered an apprenticeship to another trainer who was what was called a Pokemon Watcher. They traveled the world searching the world for pokemon, researching them and even discovering new species sometimes. After traveling for two years across the Islands, he arrived at Tangelo Island once more where his life took on a twist.

After Ash's victory in the Kanto Battle Frontier (seen here at this link: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Timeline_of_events_in_the_anime#Season_9) Brock soon contacts the lab, and Tracey decides to go to find Ash. Not long after Ash, Brock, and Tracey are together they meet up with a new trainer named Dawn and her Piplup. Tracey rescues the pair from a very aggressive Chatot (a parrot-like pokemon) and captures her. The four decide to travel together and it is after this that Tracey is pulled into Econtra. Unfortunately, he wasn't in the position to bring his pokeballs with him.

He spent several months in Econtra making both friends and enemies when he finally returned home. For better or for worse, Tracey retained the knowledge of Econtra and after a few days secretly longed to see his friends. He confided in telling Ash, Brock and Dawn about and almost didn't believe him until he showed them the wishbone necklace, dueling deck and cloak he was given. He wanted to make himself useful for the time he was gone. (Months for him, a week for everyone else.) He thoughts resting on the friends and girlfriend he had left behind, he attempted to get stronger. He had little time to prepare as once again he was pulled into another world.

World History:

Seeing as the history is enormous, hopefully sending a link is okay: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_world

However the aforementioned Econtra is/was a prison located in another universe with buildings such as shutdown schools, apartments and stores. It featured a bit of everything: good decent people, psychopaths of every shape, and everyone inbetween. Each inmate was given a communicator and a small device clamped around their arm preventing aggressive action against their warden or each other. During the aftermath of Econtra the inmates were set free and most opted to head home, with a few deciding to wander to the other worlds. Whether Econtra was another plane of existence, an alternate dimension, or whatever was never properly explained.

Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: Nothing that's unusual for the average human, which is what Tracey is. He does have some skill on drawing however, usually of Pokemon but he can draw people if he chooses to.

Personality:

Tracey is a reserved and gentle person and for the most part quiet. He is rather self-conscious about women, despite being attracted to them. He would rather bury himself in his work rather than openly admit to a girl he likes. He's also kind and overly generous, sometimes to a fault. He's usually patient and very seldom angry, unless something irks him greatly like being forced into a situation he has no control over. Another case in which his anger is sparked, is when someone speaks ill of Pokemon or his idol Professor Oak. In which case he becomes extremely and uncharacteristically vocal and angry about said topics. Case in point: Tracey had listened to a soon to be trainer about not wanting to bothering to actually raise pokemon. Tracey's response was loud, vocal and vaguely rant-like as raising Pokemon is the most important quality of a Trainer along with living, working, playing, learning from each other, and otherwise bonding with said Pokemon.

One of his major weaknesses tend to be his inability to say no, whether he's being forced to work on a Pokemon gym's plumbing or being pulled into some trouble with his friends, he has this flaw to go with whatever they say. Another flaw is that he's extremely shy when it comes to most members of the opposite sex and would do pretty much anything within reason to appease them as long as they don't go beyond his morals. He has a bit of extreme-enthusiasm at times where he'll sketch something incredible when he should be acting. He also has has tendancy to be annoyed when he's being ignored or forgotten. Tracey also at times come come across as a know it all, having a wide range of skills related to Pokemon, he doesn't see himself like this but some people do seem put off by this atttitude.

What are your plans for the character in-game? I would like to have Tracey get over his slight fear of magic as in the last game he was in, he tended to have notorious bad luck with it: being turned into a doll, shrunken to doll size, turned into a pokemon to name a few examples... I would also like Tracey to be more social and try to have more fun as well as simply be a fun guy to be around.
Anything else? No, other than being from another game and the fact he may recognize certain people in this regard. (Katara in particular.)

Complete TWO out of the FOUR options.
i) IC Questionnaire (can be found on the application page)

(As this questionnaire is entirely IC, your character is free to lie.)
What do you prefer to be known as? Tracey, as that's my name.
How old are you? If counting the time I was stuck in Econtra, nineteen.

Do you have any history in combat? No.
If so, have you ever killed? I just told you no.

i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? Unsure, and a little bit nervous to tell the truth. I'm someone who doesn't jump the gun so to speak, I prefer to think before I do something.

ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? Uh, no.

iii) What role do you take when working in a group? I'm usually the one in my group to give advice if there's a topic we're discussing that I have knowledge of.

iv) How talkative are you around other people? Depends on the person really. Around my friends and certain others like Professor Oak and my girlfriend I'm plenty talkative. Or against someone who has wronged my friends.

v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. Packaged unspoiled food, a flare gun, and a flag. Food so I don't starve, a flare to alert a plane or boat to my location, and the flag to wave them down.

vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? I don't think so, I'd much rather by liked by those I knew than those who are perfect strangers to me. On the other hand, I don't alienate people either so I try to be helpful to even strangers, but I don't go out of my way to be liked.

vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? Before coming here and to Econtra I might've said no, but now I see sometimes it takes a small chance to beat greater odds.

viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? No. I leave that to Ash. He's impulsive enough for ten people.

ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? Sometimes but you need a balance between too much planning and not planning enough no matter what it is.

x) Do you like surprises? I don't mind them as long as it's not something life changing.

xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? Not really.

xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? I don't consider myself smarter, but depending on the situation I may disagree with some descisions that my mentor Professor Oak rmay make.

xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? Uh, healthy vegetables I guess.

ii) Prose sample (can be general or a response to the post's prompt).

Tracey had come to a few realizations while traveling with Ash, Brock and Dawn. The first was unsurprisingly simple: he missed Tomoyo. He missed Yusuke, Sonic, Atem, Katara, and Gaz too. But especially his girlfriend. He was... unsure if he would ever see her again. Tracey hoped he would see her again, but there was still a lingering doubt in his heart. And so here he was, in the Lily of the Valley Pokemon Center after Ash's narrow victory over his longtime rival Paul. So he sat grooming his Marril's blue fur on the nearby bench. Gently, be careful not to hurt Marril as his thoughts came to what Ash had decided was his rival in Sinnoh.

Paul. That guy he didn't really care for much. After being stuck in Econtra, it only strengthened his resolve of what strength meant. Paul was someone who reminded him a great deal of Azula: the stance, the superiority complex, the obsessiveness to push themselves to the breaking point... He was actually inwardly glad that Azula could never use her 'firebending' to harm anyone at Econtra because of the cuffs preventing aggressive action. He had no doubt that if she could, she'd likely kill him for 'daring' to speak against her. He gave a sigh. Tommorrow was Ash's battle against the mysterious Tobias, the trainer with the legendary Darkrai. It would help if he rested more for Ash and the others. So he finished with the brushing and return Marril to her Pokeball. Tommorrow was bound to be an interesting day.
